The CARBOLIGHT frame, that deserved great satisfaction to riders that decided to try it for its performing, lightweight and resistance peculiarities, is built with CUSTOM XLR8R tubing shaped accordingly to the design ideated by Irio Tommasini for the top line frames. The carbon fibre seat tube is held by a special hand cut aluminum lugs realized inside Irio’s Tommasini factory laboratory, and reproducing the stylized “T” logo. With this kind of hand work, Tommasini wants to remark the craftsmanship of his production, and the ability to personalize frames in advantage of those customers that still look for something original and exclusive in a era of markets and products globalization. In this sense, the decision to bring this kind of personalization on different materials is motivated and realized both on the steel CARBOFIRE and on the aluminum CARBOLIGHT frames. The Tommasini exclusive carbon fibre rear triangle is made in Italy and called T-FLIGHT, and it is the same joined on the VLC2, CarboMach and CarboLight frames. The rear aluminum replaceable dropouts assembled on the frame, ideated and patented by Irio, confer even more exclusivity to the frame. The heat treatment is obligatory on aluminum parts, and it is therefore strictly respected in order to obtain a safe and resistant frame. The frame is protected with a special treatment named “cataforesi”, extremely good to preserve tubing from oxidation. The assembly of the two materials, aluminum and carbon fibre, is made with the maximum care, and accordingly with the best Tommasini tradition, carbon tubes are cut in order to realize the “perfect joint” that grants resistance to road shocks. The assembly needs many hours of consolidation that is completely respected. The head tube has a metal badge that has been engraved and enameled. Colors and paint jobs can be chosen among the list and examples represented in our catalogue, but can be also customized.
