The Flite Genuine Gel shares all the critical design attributes of the standard Flite: It's built on the same 10% carbon composite shell to maximize its lightness. Directly beneath the full-grain leather cover is the same "self-modeling" padding. And it uses the same Ti 316 rails for strength, lightness, and shock-absorbency. The critical difference is its use of silicone gel pads in differentiated thicknesses at key contact points -- adding a noticeable level of comfort. Folks who find the standard Flite to be a bit too minimalist tend to find this hint of extra padding the perfect prescription. Best of all, the gel only adds 40g. At 220g, the Flite Genuine Gel is an ideal choice for any bike, even a super-light project bike.
